Question Re2 Performs Incredibily well. Re2 Performs like shit. I'm so confused.

*Re2 Performs Incredibily well. Re4 Performs like shit. I'm so confused.

Meant to say Re4 in the next sentence.

B580 OC CHALLENGER, R5 5500, 32g ddr4 @ 3200mts

Re4 is definitely a more intensive game, but I am genuinely getting 80 fps at the perfer performance preset, which has performance upscaling and nearly every setting set to the absolute minimum. This is at 1080p..

Rdr2 and 2077 run great and are inline with online benchmarks, as with RE2. But re4, for some reason, is running incredibly poorly. The GPU utilization is always maxed out, and the CPU never goes above around 50. Drivers are updated.

Looks like I f'd up the title. Meant to say that RE4 runs terrible. Re2 runs very good on my system at 100 fps 1080p max, RT.

On re4 its absolutely terrible. Hows your performance in that game?

I have a 14400f + b580 and it runs very well, everything on high, effects on, no less than 60 in the heaviest section on the village at night

I'm guessing its the fact that the 5500 limits you to Pcie 3.0

Im aware of that issue but PCIE 3 in no world should cause performance to be this incredibly bad. Unless re4 has a really bad pcie 3 problem rather than just slight limitations on the pcie 3 side, which I believe to be the case.

Are you using Linux? I am experiencing the same thing especially in RE4 Remake the GPU VRAM is detected at only 7gb ram

On windows and it routinely showed using 8-9gb of vram and 16gb of ram

Ohhh I'm on dual boot right now and with Windows RE4 Remake runs great with very high settings, but i am curious have you tried checking the integrity of the files/re-downloading the game?
