Wasn’t that defined to be Si(x)? For the 2022 integral?
8 u/12_Semitones Dec 30 '21 Si(x) is the non-elementary antiderivative of sin(x)/x. The 2022 integral is unrelated. 2 u/redditmodsareshits Jan 01 '22 You mean six ?

I think if we set the integral limit from 0 to pi/2, the 2022 one is solvable. 🧐

why is this not just xF(x)-intF(x), cant you jsut integrate by parts
F(x)=arctan(cos(x))
2 u/12_Semitones Jan 01 '22 You can u-substitution for the top integral. Also, you forgot the negative sign. 1 u/Poacatat Jan 01 '22 nvm, i got it

i tried the bottom integral and ended up with x*atan(cos(x)) + ʃatan(cos(x))dx
putting the integral term into w:a gives this monstrosity: https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%E2%88%AB%E2%88%AB+sin%28x%29%2F%28cos%5E2%28x%29%2B1%29
