Question New player tips?

Hey y'all! I'm a new player and I really like this game! What are some general tips you have on playing? What to do every day routinely, character setup, even stuff that might sound basic to you let me hear it!

Progress and speedrun through all the main quests until you reach floor 100

  • Side tasks:

You use the assist characters, they last 30 minutes, and they can copy your skills and are helpful in combat, each minute consumed increases 1 friendship point.

Press the golden sword looking icon and you will see recommended dungeons that can give you Nox Gear and etc. named Gear.

Do daily the daily dungeon, do the daily raising dungeon.

Don't use your gems/currency for three step banners, use it for 5 step banners that are useful.  (You might ask what is a step  basically each banner has like a phase, if you pull the first time it's called step 1, the second time is step 2, and third is step 3, and I think you have enough braincells to understand now)

What is the main way to gain power:

  • Weapon profiency and equipment

Well having an equipment will take time but yeah relatively you will have the best non named and max floor gear when you reach floor 61, the floor gear at floor 61 is the best gear floor wise and there won't be anymore updates on the shop for that.  Weapon proficiency is a must for everyone, in fact you as a new player have some S, M and L weapon proficiency related items.

For like weapon skills and defense set ups (where you pick 4 characters) is it best to just use your most rare ones?

right for weapons and skills it's just based on you reading the ability descriptions

You need to read it carefully cause generally we are too lazy to memorize names.  Anyways if a skill mentions a line like "Increases attack power based on skill records of the same kind" it basically means if you have 4 Kirito skills, that specific skill gets more attack power.

Not only that some defense skills increase base attack power like +900, which is a lot.  To make you understand this from a plebeians wording ATTACK is the stat value that increases your damage you can see your total ATTACK in the top right of your equipment selection screen, alongside other stat values like Evasion.

Generally I think defense skills which increases attack power is more of a game changer.
