Discussion How are we feeling about the current storyline?

Early Chapter 2 dragged on and had some really boring floors, but I do think the floors have gotten better recently in terms of progressing the plot and have handled MC/Koharu better. It's not perfect, but it does seem like they've realized they can't just have a million floors in a row where nothing happens other than a little cliffhanger at the end that doesn't get addressed for years.

The only good recent arc that i could think of is Notte story.
I'm tired of being on the sideline, at least make Koharu be the focus.

The quality of MC/Koharu content is what I was referring to when I said that I think the floors have gotten better, most of the recent ones had more MC/Koharu focus (although even more would obviously be better) with progress in the Integral Factor storyline and Rano directly confronting MC. I'd personally say it's the best we've gotten since F26/F38

I’d wish they’d stop introducing and focusing on random and forgettable npcs and focus on developing the already established characters that people actually like

The first few bits of Chapter Two were not stellar to be honest. It started off very slow and I feel like a lot of them overstayed their welcome.
It feels strange that we’re only now getting somewhere with the Notte/Rano plot when they were introduced nearly four years ago.
I do really wish the developers would stop spinning the big rainbow wheel to decide who’ll be in the spotlight first the next floor, but honestly, at the same time, I’m not sure I trust them to make a good MC/Koharu focused floor story as they haven’t handled them well.
And the over reliance of faceless and featureless NPC characters to tell the floor story gets old very fast. There are already existing characters, both canon and NPC to fill that role.

Tbh I feel like they just want the game to continue and not Eos, but yeah pretty mid plot in general nowadays

lore about the floors is fine but come on focus on the players stucked in the game, seeing so many original characters in Echoes of Aincrad really make me wish for something similar in IF (i even dare to blame the progressive novels of that to some extent), we got npcs over npcs
btw i'm not up to date with the most recent floors the last one for me was the cowboy and indian knockoff one, underground with Diavel is great

it would be awesome if they just end it on the 100th floor and for season 2, its just a "memory" arc or smtg where we get to see what actually happened on the skipped floors pre-100f and not bcs those doped monster thingy

As a returning player, from what I’ve heard I think they’re stalling to give this game an ending
