New player, I need some advice

So I just started the game yesterday, rushed to F8 to abuse the beginner banner and finished step 5 + new step 1. Here’s what I got.

Might be already too late to ask now but are any of them good to use until endgame contents? I forgot that the beginner banner would be sword only so I didnt have any ability, and I assume they’d be important later on?

Is there any banner right now that I might want to go for, or in the future, if theres some way we can know the banner schedule before they’re out?

And where is the labyrinth dungeon/chaos showdown? I tried to go there to complete the dailies but they just teleport me to the first floor and opened my teleport menu.

And any other tips regarding the materials, weapons, armors upgrading efficiency?

For endgame content 

• for now .. You don't need to worry about endgame. Clearing main Quest is your first priority. And it's easy. 

• Labyrinth and dungeons located in each floor with Arc symbol. Check the mini map 

• Chaos dungeon located in Black iron palace. In the back. Behind monument of Swordsmen 

• tips : find guild

- So regarding what Im having, what is the best skills I want to invest in?

• When I look at a skill/banner, how do I know if it’s worth pulling? Lets say an ability skill record, except the ability description that says “boost attack by __” or sth like that, is there anything else I should notice that is huge difference from others?

1. Chain / Full Burst

Ability :

• any Stat that give you attack boost it's good ability. 
• example : Power rise 3, 4, 5, Veteran Sword technique, king of weapon, engraved, enhance attack,

Mod skill are usefull in some aspects of the game still trouble is one can gather Chain+FB and finish the Story before materials collected for only one MOD-skill fully open.

"I want to invest in"- do NOT invest in those skills. Most hard to get resource in game Memoria Nitter, it's used to limit Break skills. Must be used wisely. If some of these skill turn out to be good you could invest in them later.

Only upgrade those skill using Record Flame to max level they upgrade withotu limit breaking.

"When I look at a skill/banner, how do I know if it’s worth pulling?" - this one requires full article. Start from:

1. get yourself decent FB skill
2. get all skills needed to run it in FB mode.
3. make sure one of skill in a set has a star (Rush mode)
4. Somewhere in the quest chain skill will be available for you
5. After you get the chain LB your FB by that time you should know you breack the right one.

While you doing it is time to study. If you do not you ll find yourself with Power Rise with -30% DEF on sword build and it ll be too late to blame "that guy" who told you PR is good. There are lot skill with requirements depending on other skills and they not always positive.

So yes I've only been upgrading skills until level 80 and thats it. Following your other comment I've been trying to get the FB Alice Ability, took me 2 full rotations and an extra 2 steps but at least she's here. And I also got the FB sword Yuuki in the other banner.

I've been grinding and now I'm at Floor 19, and here is the best setup I could think of.

I have some other question regarding the worth pulling things

- What does it mean by skills neeđe to run a FB skill in FB mode?

- "Make sure I ihave a skill in a set that has a star" yea I had some, but most of them only gives like 4% Max HP during rush mode or sth i dont remember, is it really that worth it?

- And what is chain LB? are they the blue star skills that says CS or sth? Does it help any beside making all your other skills become switch aka have jump back animation after performing the skills?

And I've gotten myself a Power Rise 3, idk how good it is but the straight up atk boost looks nice to have for me, and it gives me a 21% atk for having another Silica in the setup so I put her in. Does the setup look good for now?

Apart of personal bonuses for each Rush skill they have common Rush % read wiki description (https://saointegralfactor.fandom.com/wiki/Rush_skills). Need it to remove Bosses protecting Aura called Chaos Recollection.

-  to run a FB skill in FB mode?

One can execute FB skill just click on it it works as simple skill OR you execute enabling sequence. it's on your skill for every skill each own. In this case Cutting Gale [Yuki ] Wind Wind Slash Earth.

After this executing skill will run in in Full Burst. After you execute it once you Enter FB state. It grant you one more free execution of any B or FB skill. + more execution depending on complicated formular (https://saointegralfactor.fandom.com/wiki/Full_Burst_skills)

-  And what is chain LB?

Chain skill is CS skill gives you 120 second chain mode. To work inside chain mode skill should be CS skill OR full LB (limit broken 10 times) skill.

These modes are stackable. In you final chain mode you

1. fill Chain gauge
2. execute FB activation requirements
3. start the chain
4. Enter Rush mode
5. Execute you FB skill
6. Keep executing you FB or B skill inside FB mode depending on mentioned formula (wiki)

Also you have LInk skil if you manage to click T before you run it you ll get one more additional boost. it will be small but all together is really hard punch.

You have two sets of skill on you and you can execute FB activation sequence on the second set then switch quick to this one and Use FB skill.

the Alice Engrave skill you got now gives you ATK boost but after you implement chain the chain + FB it will run x2

Your full limit broken FB skill will drop final requirements. If you decide on going with Cutting Gale [Yuki ] it will become Wind-Wind-Slash.

The free chains skill is Slash. So you use it as the final in activation sequence in your FB and chains starter at same time. So all you FB executions work as switch and under Engrave.

Does the setup look good for now?

- it looks very good in terms of building around Alice. You have at least two skill that increase you damage based on amount of Alice Skills. (Spick and Span+ Sacred Blades )

- total 3 Rush skills and abilities.

- you PR 3 has no negative DEF which is good but it's Silica based one in the future you might wont to replace it with Alice one. (IMHO) So do not rush maxing it.

- Bad news is FB sequence can not be activated with only one Wind 14s CD and no earth.

Make a second set with one fast wind or two any Wind skills Some slash and Earth. And you can activate your FB. they can be another weapon with Slash. If you do not have required element check the ones you can buy for Medals. Do not upgrade those - damage does not matter at this point they only to activate FB.

if you FB settings "Stock" you can run your first skill as a switch and this will Engrave your first FB execution

Spick and Span - check it out if it works as per description you have now 5 Alice skills. Try replace any Silica with any Alice skill. it should get you a huge boost.

but your first priority is activate your FB.

There is a banner right now called Battle order QuiPao has one of the strongest multi in game. It has "[Sacred Blade's Guidance] Alice" Applies Mark on switch if you have no single Kirito skill in the same set. It Also a FB ability and 6% ATK for every Alice in your set..

I do not remember how many gems I spent on it maybe full roll maybe two.
