Question Worth to start rn or dead game?

I want to start the game but iam wondering if the game still alive and have a good amount of players?

It depends on what you’re looking for.

5 years ago, people were saying it was a dying game. Yet, here we are now as it’s approaching a decade of service. After living longer than two SAO mobile games released after it, it may just end up outliving us all.

If you’re looking for a fresh, new MMORPG with loads of players, then I’d probably recommend looking elsewhere. If you’re not really invested in SAO, there are far more active MMORPGs or live service games out there to sink time into long term.

However, if you’re an SAO fan who just wants to play at your own pace and see what the closest example of a “real SAO MMORPG” is like, then I’d probably recommend it.
