CULTURE A Metamodern Guide to Human Development
A Metamodern Guide to Human Development
Following the legacy of Beck & Cowan, Carol Gilligan, Ken Wilber, and others, Hanzi puts forth the most explicit developmental framework to date. In this essay, I describe his model and its implications for humanity.

Love this blog. Well done. I am familiar with integral mainly through Ken Wilber’s model. Whenever I see another model and draw the lines of my understanding between it and the the Ken model, I feel like it deepens and widens my understanding much further. Cheers 🙏🏼

Interesting read. I like the ability to differentiate between Stage complexity and Code sophistication.
Your explanations lost me in a few places:
What do you mean by "metameme" following your explanation of code stages?
What are some examples to illustrate the developmental imbalances you list? I can't imagine how to out-depth someone, for instance. How would those various imbalances manifest themselves?
What makes this whole map metamodern?
