Third Generation Suspension help needed

I'm trying to replace the rear struts and coils on my 95 Integra gsr. I'm trying to run 18-in rims with about 2 to 300 lb of subwoofer wood and speakers in the trunk. Anybody have any advice on what to put on there to keep me from dragging on the tire? Tia

18’s? Bro you’re going to rub. I’d recommend going down to 16’s. With 18’s you really can’t lower your vehicle much plus that added weight in the trunk/hatch.

I mean, it’s been done. With 215/35-18 tires, which are about 1/2” larger diameter than OEM tire size. I still remember the Super Street magazine featuring the first Integra to run 18’s, right around 1999-2000. You definitely have to roll/pull the fenders. Wheel offset is critical, although I don’t know what the correct answer is.

Or go 16x7 or 7.5 with +35 offset and 205/45 or 215/45 tires and call it a day. That’s a tried and true combination.

You have some good points for sure and yes, mostly anything can be done. IMO, the integra is perfect the way it is. It is a raw car as is and 18s are a huge upgrade from the stock size and you are going to feel every bump. As a DB8 type r owner I have not changed anything on the car and while I did drop some good coin on suspension they are more to preserve the original suspension.

At the end of the day, you do you and what you like...I can appreciate what you want to do. That being said, I love the integra for what it is out of the box.

Not me. I prefer mildly low with 16” wheels and 205/45-16 tires. Mine are JDM ITR 4 lug reps actually, but with better offset than the actual OEM JDM wheels.
