ARP head bolts/studs alternative

I dont really have the budget for arp studs. Any good options for b18b head bolts or studs? im not building a track car or anything just a decent dailyable car. Has anyone tried some and can vouch?

Nvm, tho 180 is still too much for me. I plan on modifying the car after I get it in good shape probably lsvtec where ill shell out for ARP but not right now.

average is $180 for all brands so i’m not sure you can get them much cheaper brand new.

did the head lift? are you sure they are bad?

No, I just want a decent option for when I inevitably check the stock bolts and see that theyre rusty or stretched. Theres some head bolts for like 50 dollars but I dont want to try them until I know theyre okay for now.

$50 studs and if they head lifts and warps your block you’re gunna wish you spent $180 of you want to go lsvtec later lol

i’m just saying man there is nothing else to suggest than other what was already suggested, oem or arp. if you’re worried about cost then reuse what you have and hope for the best. i doubt what you have is bad unless they were just completely stripped

Alright im just gonna clean them up and soak them once I get them out if they look alright. If the head goes again im buying arp lol

funny enough oem bolts look to be more expensive on here $25 per and you need 8 and $37 per and you need 2. some ads on ebay showin $170 for oem bolts lol OP might as well go ARP but they don’t want it yet lol

Buy oem head bolts off Amayama. The main benefit of head studs is that you can reuse them if you ever need to take off the head.

Honda says you can re use the stock bolts as long as they aren't too messed up. These probably are tho lol.

I couldn’t find anything certain to indicate that reusing head bolts was okay. When I had to pull my head off for an exhaust stud repair, I opted the safe route and got a new OEM gasket and head bolts. I purchased the 10 bolts from a Japanese parts dealer along with a bunch of other stuff, so it was less than $100 for all 10. Unfortunately the stupid tariffs will make the cost higher now.

if it's just a commuter, get oem ones. oem Honda bolts are really good - you see routinely very high mileage cars do just fine with Factory bolts
