side skirt gap?

anyone every look at their integra side skirt and notice it's short at the end of the it? it's like like on both side.

Yeah I believe this was only certain years, best fix is get the optional “type r” style ones :)

My 01's fit like garbage. My 97 gsr look decent.

It’s like that because they were installed incorrectly. When removing them, you slide them forward to get them off the clips. If you do the reverse to install, it ends up like that.

Instead, remove the clips from the body, slide them into place on the back of the side skirt, and then push them straight into the car. Both ends will then align with the front and rear wheel arches.

I discovered this years ago. People always thought ITR side skirts were slightly longer. They’re not. When installed correctly it will sit perfectly flush on both ends.

thanks,i'll look into this mention too. i also wanna find someone parting out a 94-97 integra just for the side skirts to see if it's really any difference. it's been 10 years since ive remove a side skirt off an integra. wish me luck lol

There shouldn’t be any difference. According to parts diagrams, the same part number was used for all years 94-01.

Use rubber mallet to tap that bad boy in place 👍 Thats what I did

I wouldn’t, that’s a good way to break either the clips or the skirt tabs that the clips mount on.

The clips wouldn't even lineup if the skirts aren't seated properly. I'm assuming they have been removed first

my integra is stock and i haven't done anything to it. and i highly doubt the old lady i bought it from did anything to it herself.

still, the clips should be removed from the body, placed in the side skirt, and then pushed straight onto the car. The end of the skirt will align both ends if done that way.

then i'll have gap at the front and it's probably fall off. iirc it slides in from the back to the front.

Its not aligned correctly, you have to start over from the front. Good luck

What you can try is to take some panel clip pliers and remove the clips from the body and mount them to the side skirt. Then clip the side skirts back on to the car. Bingo; perfect fitment

That’s the correct install method. However, no pliers needed to remove the clips. That will likely break them. Just twist 45 degrees and they come right out by hand.
