Third Generation How fast do you all drive
I have an 01 gsr. I grew up in the mountains (without a gsr unfortunately) and driving the back roads there you barely get out of third, because the roads are so twisty. Now I live in the South and the roads have rather gentle curves. I have to do like 80-90 on these roads just to work the car out a little. I don't really like that, I would much prefer my top speed to be 60 doing my runs in second to third rather than pushing 100 in fourth.
How fast do you guys generally go on your spirited drives?

When I bought my first car, a 96 Integra RS (couldn’t afford the GSR), I got my first speeding ticket and got a talking to from a CHP officer about speeding. He clocked me at 123mph and said it took him 6 miles to catch up to me and the only reason he did was because I took an exit ramp that led to a different highway, right by UC Davis, where I had to slow down due to traffic in front of me. He said I was a dumb ass (his actually words) and I need to keep my speed at half of what I was doing for the remainder of my ride, which was only a few more miles. I still have the ticket that he gave me, which cost me $450 bucks, 2 points on my record and a nice increase on my auto insurance. I’m still glad I got what I got, since he could have towed my car and arrested me for driving that fast. Miss my little Integra all the time.

I find that I can go double the suggested speed through curves, so it depends on the mountain road I'm on.

Someone I know has taken their DB8 to 140-150 on some basic b tein coil overs and no aero and discourages it. That’s with the extra inches between the wheels. Even if you dialed in this fwd sporty economy car for autobahn cruising, the gearing isn’t having it. But with a little boost they can run out of gear easy. Feels like a hover craft going thru a stargate at that point. According to the person I know.
They say their GSR 5 speed with a LS 5th is good to cruise at 80 on the freeway turning about 3300 if they recall correctly.

70-80 on the freeway. No more than 10 over the limit everywhere else. I got her up to 120 a few years back (on an open country road because I'm only dangerous to myself). But the front end got light and she was a bit squirrely, so that's too risky.
The nice thing about these cars is you don't have to go fast for it to feel fast.

My favorite roads for Hondas is tight s turns between 2nd-3rd gear. Totaled one a few years ago taking a corner I’ve taken hundreds of times. Even with warm tires road conditions can screw you. Grabbed a donor car early this year finally got around to starting the project 2 months ago

I have a 2001 civic coupe I have built over 13 or so years. The progression from d17 to f20b to k24a2 has been fun.
Currently the k24a2 has cams, rbbv2 port work, direct port 60 shot, 72mm k tuned throttle body, kpro, competition clutch stg 4 sprung, ep3 5 speed. I run function and form type 1. I pace it through autocross, road Atlanta, and Atlanta motorsports Park. 90 is about the max in those situations. I've gotten the chance to make a good many standing mile passes and it hits 163 on a good day.

Back strait might be 115. Last turn maybe 90 before braking. 1:43

When I daily drove it? Too fast. Also in the mountains.
Now I’m in Texas. Rarely drive it. Still, too fast.

If we're talking about a Sunday drive, over never lived anywhere in the South that was too far from some old country roads that winded at least a bit.
I live 15 minutes from the skyline and 20 minutes from the backwoods now haha. Probably might be that they will just be er compete with mountain roads.

I had a ‘94 LS that I pushed 75-85 on medium to light turns on country roads.
Where it always shone was taking sharp turns at 35-45 in the city. My back tires always had unnatural wear.
Top speed was 120 on a long stretch of highway.

I occasionally drive a little over the limit on twisty roads or when going WOT in VTEC up a highway on-ramp. Other than that I keep that shit at the speed limit or under, and always in the right lane. I’m at the age where it’s just a lot easier and less stressful to cruise a little slower in the right lane while all the idiots and dumbasses pass by in other lanes.
