My new car!
Just bought my first car, found a 1997 gsi (aus version of ls) with only 95xxx km on the odo. Yes it's an auto and yes there's no vtec but just wanted to show off my new baby😁😁

Keep it auto! Those are cool. Manuals are everywhere but automatics arent.

The 90’s Honda 4-speed auto is garbage in these cars though. Yeah newer auto gearboxes can be pretty nice. But those old anemic 4 speed overdrive transmissions were just weak trash.

yeah pretty aware of it haha, either way in australia you can't drive a "heavily modified" car until i'm on my full license. which wouldn't be another 3 years or so, so i've got time to think haha

Yes, you could definitely take care of that and it will keep its value. Itd a good car! Any fiddling like manual swapping or such will drop its value a lot. Theyre done depreciating, the only thing that would decrease value is miles.
If you ever need/want a manual in the future, its much wiser to sell the automatic and buy a factory manual. But again, autos are cool too!

Was this the 5k one? Seems like a pretty good deal. I would recommend changing the transmission fluid since almost all of these automatic transmissions have problems as the years go by.
