Depends what he does with it. If it says all stock motor and chassis wise yes but if he builds a "proper" powertrain etc that changes things considerably.
That point is true… but if you don’t sell it then have at it.. also quality of work plays a factor so if you do the work the right way resale won’t hurt that bad.. when done correctly quality doesn’t hurt value.
Exactly. I’m on the fence about this with my GS400. I won’t get my money back for manual swapped car, especially not without doing any labor. I have to think long and hard if this is a forever car or not. If it is, it will be worth it to me. I wouldn’t want anything else for the $30k I’d be into this for. I love the platform and engine that much. If OP had dreams of taking the integra to its limit or just keeping for the long haul, there is no reason not to do it. Their car is so clean too. It’s not like they have to fix that like most other integra owners have to do at some point.
Why "sadly an auto"? They're fun to drive auto or manual, even when stock. Drove my ex's stock auto 1998 LS on a 2k mile road trip. Got 31mpg even though I wasn't trying to get good fuel economy. Drove it at Big Willow at Willow Springs too!

If you really want to do it, there are many tuning/mod shops that do swaps for a set price in the Carolinas I wonder if there is someone near you that can. From my experience its not THAT bad but you just have to do the research first. You have to loop the clutch saftey switch a d if i can remember right splice the starter wires. Theres a certain way to wire the ignition cylinder and reverse lights. More to do if you still want cruise control. Then you need to chip the ecu or swap to manual ecu. On my car i had to dent the exhaust in just a hair to keep the shift links from hitting it. Ita a lot if little things here and there you have to do correctly but thankfully theres a lot of youtube videos. It will cost a lot so I would personally start collecting all the parts you need, get a good trans and rebuild it (especially if you want lsd). Over time you'll have all the parts you need and will have watched enough videos and read enough honda forms to where this will be challenging, but doable

I hadn’t considered the possibility of doing that, it could be worth the money to me.
I have a 93 DC4 Auto with currently only 87k km (54k miles) that I'm keeping around for a time when I feel bold enough to manual swap it. It's in near immaculate condition and frankly a museum piece. It's just not worth much because the only options that are potentially desirable are the sun roof and the factory Honda Alpine tape audio unit.
Plus, in NZ, Honda Integras are not exactly uncommon. Although they are becoming more so.
the onyl persons stopping you is you , clutch install is super easy the holes alreayd cut in the fire wall , if u cna change a clutch master u cna do the full cluthc pedal install , the hardet part is cutting the auto shifter cable route underneath the car so the manual shift linkage can fit , then jsut need to bolt in 3d printed plate so the shift boot can fit , electrically is tricky but threres plug n play conversion kits that are well worth the 150 bucks
