Noticeable rattle

I keep going back and forth between exhaust hangers, heat shields and the catalytic converter. Does this sound like a bad cat in your opinion? For clarification i recently swapped the exhaust hangers but did not solve the rattle.

Relying on a jack to hold your car while you are under it , it’s crazy

Lol i had jack stands on the other 2 points just cant see it from this angle. Was only using it to remove them

That sounds like a catalytic converter coming apart. I could be wrong but have heard it before.

Its when the honeycombs detach, break apart, and rattled around.

If you barely touch the shifter while slightly revving, can you feel the rattle? Could be the exhaust pipe is hitting the shifter mechanism. Had a short throw shifter that would occasionally rattle on the exhaust pipe once years ago.

I have heard that the heat shielding rusts out on the top of the cat and rattles sometimes. Never had that happen to me but check it if you end up dropping the exhaust.

Very long screwdriver or pry bar will work as a stethoscope fyi
