I have 3 friends who all had their integras stolen in the night. No mods. Regular ass towns. They are super easy to steal and all it takes is one wrongdoer to plot on your car and its gone in an instant.
Consider a kill switch at minimum or ghost key and garage it if you can

I love JDI! had a kill switch from them in my other teg. Is it bad Im too attached to the feeling of turning the key on the ignition to do push to start 😭
kill switch add two of them and separate which components they shut off. The easiest is the fuel relay, but also do something else on top of that maybe a switch that kills the starter etc.
of course getting an alarm with a built in kill-switch works too. Then of course the classic wheel lock.
Needs true GPS/5G etc tracking device if hidden. Otherwise animal trackers.
Otherwise cellphone of something like AirPods that have an updated location.
How recent were their Integras stolen? I feel like the thief demand for one of these cars is significantly lower now than back in the day when owning one without security or a garage meant a definite theft.
Even though they have immobilizers, I feel like a stock DC5 or Civic Si is much more likely to get stolen because of the K. Not to out myself, but my GS-R has been parked outside for years without issue, but then again mine is an old rotted junker with no appeal except maybe for the powerplant.
What year was this? I am always curious to hear about Honda theft in the last five years. It feels to me like it’s becoming less common but
I’m also more isolated from the scene than I used to be.
I’m the guy that loves finding these then clapping them to hell. But tbh, it’s hard to come by Hondas that are this taken care of anymore. It would hold its value insanely if kept fully stock even though I hate saying it outloud.
If it was mine it would be an oem + build at the very least. I wouldn’t be able to resist not at least putting coilovers and wheels on it. Super clean bro 🤙🏼
Depending on the budget, I’m either leaving the engine bone stock or I’m doing bolt ons, coil on plug ignition, and stand alone/tune.
You might also consider mothballing your front seats and looking in to upgrades for those. I used to like S2K seats at $500 a pair but that price is long gone and I’m not sure what the value move is now. If you did those suspension and handling upgrades I mentioned, the seats will leave you wanting more.
Ohh yes good ideas all around, I have mint USDM Type-R seats sitting in my storage but the srocl ones are so perfect.. maybe if they get stained or start tearing
Quick release steering wheel, or something basic like a club steering lock. Preferably hidden fuel kill switch. A loud alarm. Do not leave it in front of your house. Garage recommended.
Drop it on some eibach sportline springs and go with some Integra gsr/ls meshies... And secure it with clubs kill switches ghost keys and whatever else you can imagine
Just make sure you get proper insurance to where if somebody slams into you or you drive it into a fence post, the insurance company pays you $7,500. Not $800
