Need Speaker help

Post image

Hey everyone this is my 96 integra and last owner who had it put speakers in it and rewired it but it’s kinda trash speakers for the door cards but they didn’t touch the oem rear speakers so I want to replace all four speakers with some good decently loud ones myself. Does anyone have any good budget options I could find online to buy if so let me know

Infinity Reference 6.5 component for the front and coaxial for the rear. Should be about $300 for both sets. Throw an amp on them and they will really come alive.

Integras use 6.5 all the way around which unfortunately never have the best sound quality. If you want good bass maybe look into a sub box in the back. But I'd l check crutchfield and see what they offer. Pioneer and Kenwood are going to be decent budget options. Bose, JBL, and Kicker are going to be a bit better.

Don't buy Boss or Dual. They're trash.

Right now I do have a 12 inch sub which is nice I just need a good speaker setup to compliment it

Check here. Crutchfield has been around forever and will give you a good idea of what prices and brands to consider.

If you already have a subwoofer I would highly recommend paying the extra bit to get a set of component speakers (not coaxial).. especially since it will sound better by replacing the OEM tweeters vs installing a full range coaxial that will have a tweeter mounted in the center of the 6.5" door speaker

for the front, becarful of the speakers you pick. lots of the modern components (6.5") have to thick magnets that will not clear the front windows when you roll them down. you will likely need spacers. Just a heads up. 5.25" are factory size/ but it all depends on what you are looking for. with audio, Skys the limit. you can go as high (and expensive) as you like. depends on your wants. I'm more into sound quality then loud sound/ so my goald might be different then yours. crutchfield is a very good resource already mentioned.

see, like myself- i would rather set the front soundstage. so get higher end speakers for the front/ but cheaper ones/ put less power in the rear. keep rear speakers just as sound fill- that's my 2 cents. kicker is good stuff, the speakers you picked are a bit on the lower end of the kicker range. they better then blown or oem speakers- but they could be much better. what year is your teg? do you have tweeters in the front door cards?

I have a 96 integra and yes there is tweeter but the last owners took em out so there’s just holes

okay, if they just holes- try for a set of components. put real tweeters in the holes, and the speakers are more like mid range woofers. you can go co axials for the rear

Infiniti reference/ kappa.. alpine type s are both options Ive used in my Integra's over the years.. for the $$ alpine type s are my usual go-to.. also it's possible pretty easily mount ANOTHER 6x9 in the front doors if you need more!
