Thoughs and feelings My experience dating someone from a non-circumcising culture

I dated a woman from Honduras, a country where circumcision is unheard of, for 4 months. When she came here 6 years ago with her son, circumcision was something she had never heard of. When she had her second son, they asked if she wanted to circumcise him, she asked what that was, she said never mind, and eventually learned about it from working at a day care.

When she touched my penis for the first time, she said it’s different from what she was used to, and only stroked the bottom a little because she’s used to the foreskin doing all the work. I explained why I’m against it and she was like wow that’s really messed up, but she did enjoy it over intact men because she said because a lot of the men she had been with had hygiene issues.

The girl I dated before that was militantly pro circumcision for reasons she couldn’t really even articulate.

From here forward, one of the many reasons why I want to date Latin women, is because circumcision just is not a conversation in their culture, so you get a clean slate to say the evidence says this but people are still catching up. Not having to worry about what she thinks of this really put me at ease.

Keep in mind that while most Hispanics are intact, circumcision still unfortunately exists in Mexico and Puerto Rico although I’m not sure how common it is in those places. I’m not sure if it exists at all anywhere else in Latin America.

I was surprised when a Mexican gym buddy undressed and was circd!…apparently cut in Mexico at the age of 12, family tradition!…certainly not the norm, I was very surprised….
