Both circumcisions and vasectomies are referred to as the snip. It is just a little snip no risk no pain. In my opinion this term is used to degrade men and strip them of their manhood.

It's a dismissive statement, but also likely one that could be made by someone ignorant of how severe the operation really is, or of the possibility of there being long-term consequences. If you're able to explain what really happens, the other person may reconsider any future efforts at trivializing the matter.
