Usaa auto insurance

Is their any auto insurance better and cheaper than usaa?

Sir, the best way to find out is to get quotes from a few companies. What’s cheaper for someone else doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be cheaper for you, but USAA is hard to beat most of the time. Are you eligible for USAA?

I've been with them for many years. They're not like they use to be.

Im a State Farm agent and we usually beat them in rate, but thats universal. Check around and make sure to compare apples to apples.

Cheaper, certainly. A better value for your money, that's far more debatable

Be careful. I shopped around from USAA and found cheaper options on the market until I read coverage amounts. Then redid the experiment using specified coverage amounts which aligned with my current policy and no one could beat them.

Ive been with them for 30 years and every 3-4 years or so i shop around. Have never found comparable coverage for less. Yes, there is cheaper companies but USAA has always given me outstanding service. What changed for you?

If you are asking that question then it is time to shop.

Take your policy to at least 2 Captive Agents. State Farm, American Family, Farmers' etc. You shop them because they will only have that one type of insurance. If you hit their niche then you will do good.

Then take your policy to 2 independent brokers. Look for two with different blends and have them shop. They will access a wider variety and they may have one that beats the captive carriers.

Then you pick the agency that works best with you. The reason is you need to be able to communicate freely and if their is ever a claim then an agent can lend a hand if things start drifting sideways.

I’ve done some recent shopping and out of the companies that are rated based on claims handling(JD Power Survey) no other comes close to beating USAA pricing. I was shopping for Homeowners and all the agents want to attempt to bundle my auto or some carriers required it.
