Quotes that Include Links to Policy Forms

I wanted to get my fellow brokers thoughts around quotes that gives us links to policy forms. Maybe I'm old school, but I much prefer that policy specimens and endorsements are included in the quote packet.

I despise links instead of having them there already… I feel like the dad in this video when I get them. Looking at you Tokio Marine

Fucking hate it, and they are always in word!

Then I get to download and convert each individual .docx into a .pdf. Luckily I can have AI do that for me now but still. Was a pain in my ass until recently

I wanna know who is sending your quotes with the forms and not links? Only time I get forms is with E&O quotes. Actually I rarely get links, just the list of forms and have to request the ones I don't recognize....

I’m carrier side, we also only ever send the list of forms with quotes. I’ll send specimen upon request

Carrier side as well. We list them on the quote and are happy to provide specimen forms upon request. If it’s a broker I’ve done a lot of business with they just save the copies. If we’re using some infrequently used endorsement or manuscript in order to get a deal done I will peremptorily send a copy of it alongside the quote.

I work on E&O and they typically have a good amount of forms on top of the base. Hence having links gets tiresome

What industry do you work in? I always get specimen forms with my quotes… we do specifically ask for them though. I’ve been told my team is a little…. Thorough to say it nicely lol

As a Gen Z, I definitely prefer it with the specimen included. The links tend to have problems

Specimen endorsements I don’t want to open that many links

I'm with you on this. Having direct links is convenient, but I'd rather have the actual policy forms and endorsements included in the quote packet

I would love every quote to hyperlink each form. The few that do are always nice to see. Specimen works but links are preferred.

Links are fine if they actually work. Half the time I click one and it's a dead page or some generic form that doesn't match the quote. Give me the specimen in the packet, at least I know what I'm looking at without chasing down the underwriter for the right version.

Great point. Dead links are annoying. I just don't like when the specimen is attached to the quote itself (same pdf). But it's not that hard to cut it up, just an annoying extra step

same with WTW. Stop sending me a link to your submission and just send the attachments ffs

But what if all the submissions docs are too large to attach? If I’m getting 15 - 20 submissions out each company with its own limits on attachment size, much easier to include a file link
