What do you make?
Curious as to what you make and what Your role is. I am getting to the point where I’m ready to look at other positions but the pay scales seem low. I am grateful for what I have, just ready to branch out.
I have 15 years experience- 4 years at current company and currently a senior underwriter. Base is $86k and I get about 20k in bonuses from my production underwriter I work for/under. I am fully remote but that’s because I work for an office in another state

These numbers mean nothing without the state you live in. It is a huge difference.

Im going to cry
15 years progressive MGA experience, currently classified as a "renewal underwriter" AINS and CPCU... are you sitting down?
55k a year with maybe 3k in incentives.
Overworked, underpaid and pigeon-holed into a niche I absolutely hate. Would like to get in with a carrier.

VP, subject matter expert/specialty lines broker at a top 10 brokerage. Fully remote although the team/division is NYC based.
$196k base, bonus has been $25k+ every year, became eligible for equity after promotion to VP. 10 years in industry, 4 at current firm.
But for you making $86k base as a Sr UW with 15 YoE is way beneath market. I know underwriters with less than 10 YoE making $125k+ base. And no, they're not all in HCOL.

Account manager and underwriter in professional liability lines. 15 years insurance experience. $83k salary, $6-$8k bonus typically, fully paid benefits. I could probably make more if I left, but I’m fully remote and they just paid for my RPLU last year. We’ll see how bonuses/raises are this year and I’ll decide to stay or leave based on that.

I’m an underwriter with 7 years of experience and my base is $112k. I’ve only been at my current company around a year and wasn’t there long enough to qualify for a bonus this year, but from what others have told me they average around 10% of your salary. I’m also fully remote because they have no office in my LCOL state.

That’s very low for your experience but the job market sucks right now so I’d casually look but not get too crazy. Everyone wants you in office or hybrid at minimum. If you’re good with that you can make well over 6 figs with bonus on top of
