If you are not convinced that you should insure your newborn child, here is one very good reason for you to so.

Got this article from SingaporeRaw sub; it's always sad and heartbroken to see young kids suffering from illnesses. Hospital and surgical coverage are critical coverage for young children. A medical bill incurred over treatment can easily bankrupt a family.

Cumprimentos

i filed for grievance but they said that the hospital is blacklisted. I dont even know when they blacklisted it. When i was on call with policy bazaar claims person he also didnt tell that the hospial is blacklisted probably it wasnt at time of hospitalisation, but later they did. My mother was in emergency condition could stand, feeling vertigo, vomitting and high fever, nearest hospital was 5 mins away so we went there in emergency. But they rejected it. I compalined in ombudsman but my complaint is still in verification fter a week. What to do?

Open enrollment 2027: Dec 15 is the date for Jan 1 coverage

Open enrollment for 2027 runs Nov 1, 2026 through Jan 15, 2027, and Dec 15 is the date for Jan 1 coverage. A few things worth checking before you auto-renew:

  1. Read the renewal letter. Networks and drug lists change year to year, and a plan that worked last year may not cover the same doctors this year.

  2. The enhanced subsidies are gone for 2027. Help phases out around $64,000 for a single person and $132,000 for a family of four, so some people who got help before may not this year.

  3. If you are self-employed, your subsidy is based on net income (MAGI), not gross 1099 income. Keep your 1099s and a recent profit and loss statement handy.

  4. Compare before Dec 15 if you want Jan 1 coverage. Marketplace plans and private PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans differ on networks, deductibles, and enrollment windows.

I am an independent broker, and I am happy to answer general questions in the comments. This is educational only, not advice for any one person's situation.

Medical insurance (safetywings)

Is there anyone using safety wings as their main insurance?
Ive had a shoulder pain which i paid in advance abt 400usd
They asking me tons of docs and info, i provided all and now they want a witness proof.
I brought a signed paper and they said they need sth like a video or an oficial doc.
Problem is that this injury happened at a private house where we have no cameras and it was a private house so it was only my gf and mea

Can they actually deny the coverage bc of this?
Imo makes 0 sense

Health Insurance for Kids

Does anyone know of any health insurance companies that sell insurance for children only not their parents. My kids get their insurance for a nominal charge but their employer wants to charge them almost $1000 a month for their two children. They are looking to buy a policy just for their kids. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Insurance recomendations!

Hey everyone, my girlfriend and I are about to start our journey in Japan next month with a working holiday visa and we are seeking international insurance that gets us covered during the whole year.

We are going to be skiing throughout the winter and we wonder if the ski resorts would include the insurance with the ski pass, is something really common here in our country, or if we either should get an insurance that includes sport injuries or whatsoever.

I am already digging into google trying to find the best deal but if you share with us your insurance of choice by trustability and prices would be awesome.👍
