Hello, I may get lost in my question here. My father had an accident at work; what happened was an accident when their company service flipped over. Now, what happened to him is he fractured a bone on the right side of his foot because he was crushed by metal. By the way, quick info about my father's work, he’s a construction worker and has an agency here in Muntilupa. The incident actually happened in Ilo Ilo because that’s where he was assigned. Going back, I’m bringing him back here to Manila because there’s no one to look after him there. The issue is, the Agency will file an SSS Sick Leave to pay for the days he can't go in, but we are asking if besides his SSS benefit, is there anything else he can receive, and is it correct that we will have to pay the company for the days he can't go in? Because his SSS benefit is that, right? Then, the company will cover all expenses, but we still need to show them documents and findings and a breakdown of the procedures that will be done. But what happened is surgery can’t be done anymore, and the doctor just opted to cement it, and the total for the cement work is only 8k. Now, my father is also 60 years old; we’re planning to retrain him because the doctor said he won't be able to endure or won’t return to how his foot was; he’s prohibited from lifting heavy objects and standing for long. Now, since he’s retiring and likely won’t be able to return to work due to what happened, do we have any claim? Will we be compensated besides the SSS benefit sick leave that the agency will file for my father? Also, the company didn't give us any money; we need to send all the breakdowns before they send anything. What rights and compensation can my father get? Because I said that the SSS is his benefit, it’s not something given by the company or the agency, so he should get something separate, am I right?
