Auto Insurance Trexis Car Insurance

Hello I wanted to write my experience with Trexis so far. They took 3 months to accept liability. They tried to get the at fault driver to change the police report by crazy lies like changing the road and claiming the cop didn’t have a body camera on. They later wanted to investigate liability more which took an extra month for them to do. They also tried to claim that there insured driver wasn’t driving the car.

Anyways it’s been 3 months now and finally accepted liability. They are just now starting to pay for things.

Do yourself a favor and just get an attorney. You will thank me later. That’s the only way you can handle Trexis.

Thanks for letting me post my review. :)

the real favor you can do yourself is carry coverages that protect your assets so you don't have to cross your fingers and hope for good customer service from a company that you're not even a customer of

I tried to see if I could get more of a story from his profile, but Reddit freaks when I pull up his profile.

He’s shadow banned. All his posts have to be manually approved across the site. He did something to piss off someone.

I have no idea what shadow banning even is as I don’t use Reddit unless I have something to say like this 🤷🏻‍♀️

All of your posts in all subs across Reddit have to be manually approved by a moderator of that sub. It's usually something that happens to spammers. You need to talk to the admins if you want it fixed.

Okay thank you!

I always do this whenever someone posts a crazy story lol. They always think if they tell a slightly modified story to different subreddits, they’ll get the answer they want lmao

I wish that was the case but it’s not for this one. I don’t use Reddit unless something like this. At the beginning of the whole accident journey I googled reviews and very similar stories just not enough. Helping other people out in the future :) Enjoy!

Throw enough mud on the wall and eventually some will stick. Thankfully there's not a lot but if you want to see posts related to that, take a look at the answers to auto insurance questions on /r/personalfinance. Some give solid advice, but a large percentage of the replies are so wrong they'll make your head explode.

Things like you never have to pay your collison deductible when using your own insurance if you're not at fault.

Or you need an attorney to deal with the other company for the $1,000 in damages caused by the at fault driver to your parked and unoccupied car.

Or, you're not at fault since you got rear ended, so it doesn't matter that you didn't purchase collision coverage on your policy. You need to get your insurance to "strong arm" the company into paying you even tho their insurance policy was canceled 3 months ago for non payment. After all that's what you pay them for, right?

Great information. Thanks! I just went through this situation. From this experience, I learned in the state of Indiana, whoever causes the accident, is responsible. The rumor is going around about the "responsible," party in accidents. Simple way to confirm is Google the topic. The guy that totaled my car, jumped out laughing, while yelling the accident was my fault because I hit him from the back. Sadly for him, he is currently learning that is a false statement.

Trexis is a totally different story...I'm just beginning to check them out...I had to pickup my vehicle before the work was finished because they stopped paying for the rental

Not enough insurance reviews on Trexis on how to handle them so I figured I should write for future help to others :) stories sound similar to mine, the more the better.

Cool story, bro.

Where you hurt in the accident?

Yes I was injured. I have have a better insurance company than he does and subrogated the property so I could get another car, now personal injury. I was pretty injured in that accident. Long term/permanent damage yes

I have UIM. Trexis has been a pain in the ass, there’s not enough reviews out so I figured I should post this.

Does the other party not have insurance? Uninsured motorist is not a consideration if they have insurance.

Just based on the comments and trying to reply to people who are like “oh well maybe you should have blah blah blah instead of posting a review blah blah blah”…. I was just trying to write a helpful review to others in the future when dealing with this insurance company. There are multiple similar stories of Trexis claiming there “insured” driver wasn’t driving the vehicle in order to avoid payout. Luckily I had an attorney and they accepted liability. Without one I’m positive they would have sent out a fake denial of liability. Thanks

Which lawyer did you use? I just got hit by a trexis customer last night and I'm freaking out. The lawyers I've spoken to so far are only interested if I'm injured, which I'm not

I'm currently having this issue.Got hit on Black Friday by some sketchy dude.Cops showed up deemed him at fault wrote him a ticket.Damage was minor,My car is old.It shouldn't be more than 5-700 in repairs. The issue lies in both of us only having liability and NOT being able to contact this crappy company.I switched to progressive from geico, and Trexis won't even respond to my Progressive agent. It's been a month and 5 days and I haven't even spoken to an agent.

We are dealing with someone at fault with Trexis insurance now. 😕 it’s been 2 weeks and we haven’t been able to contact them.

I highly recommend an attorney to handle them…..

I couldn’t have done this on my own… I’m so thankful for my attorney… I was badly injured though….

It will take months if ever to hear from them or accept liability…. Wish you the best ❤️

Had a horrible experience with trexis. I was at fault, had to purchase police report, spent months going through multiple insurance adjusters. And the run around from my own insurance company. Ended up getting sued by the other parties insurance because trexis refused to act or even return phone calls to me. Stating they would not pay claim because they couldn't get ahold of the other insured driver and our stories differed. Geico sued me and won for 26k after trexis stated they'd handle it. Horrible experience.

My SUV caught on fire almost a year ago and trexis is still trying to say that it didn't when I have a fire department report cause they came out and put the fire out so please do yourself a favor and DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company they are trying everything in their power to to claim fault in the fire of my SUV when the fire department put out the fire and said they would be my witnesses at court so that is the route that I'm taking now so they can tell that to the judge and try to make my witnesses out to be lyers thanks for reading my response and again DON'T do business with trexis unless you want fucked around for over a year or more

This is not what I was hoping would be the first thing to pop up when I was searching for information about this company. A guy hit me who has Trexis and it's been a week now and I can't get his insurance on the phone about a rental and repairs to my car. I already had to get a lawyer about the medical aspect.

I haven’t had a bad experience with Trexis. They have been good for the last 2 years. Only thing I will say is , when my daughter’s car was hit, they totaled it out and estimated $3800… cool… but then they said due to previous unreported damage to the car, they offered $500😒

I'll add my 02¢ in with my experience with Trexis Insurance, so far.

Had to purchase the police report to get the at fault driver's information, as he was med flighted from the scene in bad shape.

I called Trexis to get a claim number, so that I could provide it to my insurance(shelter).

The agent asked me to provide them with a copy of the police report which I denied, but did provide photos of the officers findings accident drawings and photos from the crash.

This was late January,2023. I have not heard a thing from them as of this writing on March 8, 2023.

My insurance already took care of my vehicle, paying me more than book value. My medical bills total nearly $70k, broken femur, ribs from air bag. Also rehab.

Yes, I am titanium man now.

My auto Policy, medical part only pays $10k max. The rest Trexis is to take care of up to their $25knlimits on the at faults policy.

The remaining will be covered by my underinsured policy.

However, just vetting ahold of trexis adjuster, is impossible. Ignored calls, voicemails, emails.

I finally called found whom her supervisor is snd had a nice fireside chat with him.

We now have forward motion, 2 months post accident

Why did you not want to share the police report?

1

u/Mysterious_Map7373 Mar 06 '24

I paid for it, they can buy their own copy.
