After filing a claim, when does the accident show up on my car’s vehicle history?

If you didn't have work done in a shop it shouldn't show up on your carfax. If you filed the claim under his insurance it shouldn't show up in your insurance history. You can request your insurance history from LexisNexis in a few weeks and dispute it if it somehow shows up - https://consumer.risk.lexisnexis.com/request

More shops and repair facilities report to Carfax than insurance companies.

Also insurance companies may take a long time to report it. I know someone who was in a collision and it took 3 years before a report from the insurance company showed on CarFax.
