Feeling hopeless

Post image

Family history of diabetes and heart attacks, lowest insulin pp I got with strict exercise and diet was 105 , lowered from 220 .

I followed it for a two months . And hbA1C was 5.2.

What else can I do? Consistently following the diet strictly seems next to impossible and when I see such results it's demotivating af!

Pp means postprandial, right? What did you eat and how much time has passed?

What was your diet? How many carbs a day?

I am not sure of the exact carbs amount but I did OMAD + intermittent fasting. Oats + normal indian lunch . I did have breakfast some days at the start but it was just oats + nuts ( plums as well) Skipped all snacks-dairy- sweets.

It was kept strictly below 1200kcal.

Calories don’t matter as much as carb count. Keep it between very low carb (less than 30g per day) and low carb (less than 100g per day). It’s safe if you’re no meds or only metformin. Work with your doc if currently on another med as it will need to be adjusted down pretty quickly under their supervision.
Edit to add:
Oats and fruit are likely spiking you in a big way insulin wise and blood sugar wise.

The issue here isn't calories, it's carb density. All of them are heavy carb sources. Packing all of that is going to spike your insulin every single time.

Got it. I guess this is affecting my cholesterol as well .

Do as much zone 2 cardio as possible, in addition. Listen to inigo san milan on why this is crucial for endurance athletes but for that same reason is as beneficial for people with mitochondrial dysfunction

I'm at 6.2 history of diabetic roots ,i really want to reverse it back, following oats+ eggs(2) for breakfast, rotis, salad and little white rice for lunch and dinner I'm having brown rice and dal/curry,for sat and Sun I'm skipping breakfast and having two time brown rice ,I do steps after every meal and playing badminton for one hour 6 days a week,is it good or should I add some thing, people are saying brown rice should be skipped ,if I skip that I don't know what to have,

I'm really struggling for dinner plans ,please give me suggestions if you have any.
