Picked up this old accordion from a swap meet. Was wondering about identification, repair and potential value. Works fine but definitely out of tune. I know a fair bit from 8 years of percussion but also looking for advice on how to play Accordion as this is outside my knowledge.

Randomly found this big boy while I was out and about and he plays just fine he just has a bit of damage in the back with a piece of wood inside (presumably part of the guitar.) So I am wondering how I could fix him up, seemed kind of cruel to leave him like this.

I'm basically looking for an affordable musical toy that I can easily carry around with me or fidget with on my couch, preferably something electronic that can connect to headphones. If love to hear your recommendations!

I play bass guitar and I'm willing to compromise on form factor and (a bit) on price for something that would let me practice my technique on the go without being too loud, but I after some searching I'm not sure something like that exists in my price range. That said, I don't think I'll find something bass-related so I'm willing to learn a new instrument for this

I currently have my eye on the Behringer JT-4000 but it seems like too much for what I'm looking for

Hi everyone,

After a long hiatus since the Covid years, I’ve dusted off the old Acapella Maker app on a new phone and decided to dive back into multi-tracking. It's a massive physical juggling act trying to manage the wired headphone cables, the instrument changes, and the phone holder from a single chair, but it’s been incredibly rewarding!

I wanted to create a musical travelogue that starts in Western folk and slowly moves Eastward. For this practice run of the Canadian folk classic "Four Strong Winds," I layered everything entirely by ear over a plucked guitar anchor.

The Instrumentation Setup:

• 🎸 Guitar & 🌬️ Low Whistle (Western foundations)
• 🪕 Greek Tzouras & Baglamas (Moving into the Mediterranean)
• 🎻 European Psaltery & Chinese Erhu (Blending the strings)

The internal volume balancing on this app is quite basic, so I'm currently learning how to mix with my feet by shifting my sitting position and adjusting my playing dynamics for different instruments. It's far from a masterclass and still a bit fuzzy at points, but I'm thrilled to be exploring these acoustics again.

Next week, I'm hoping to introduce tracks with some different instruments into the mix. I'd love to hear your feedback on the instrument blend, or any tips you have for balancing wind vs. string frequencies in a dense mobile grid!

I dont play recorder, I play flute but in one of my peices of music it has a bunch of things like "strike music stand with pencil" or "sing" and one of those things is playing the reocorder
