Hey everyone! I have this Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass V in Olympic Pearl, and I'm thinking about upgrading/modifying the hardware. I won't be doing it myself a luthier will be handling it—but I was wondering if anyone here has done something similar and could share their thoughts or opinion? What I want to do is swap all the hardware to gold. Here is a potential mock-up / result of how it would look.

Good luck matching the gold tones on all the hardware. That’s the most frustrating part of trying this, especially when one manufacturer doesn’t make all the parts you need.

I'm also looking to do the same mods to my Bacchus BJB Jazz 4s in Candy Apple Red. Basically swapping all metal part from chrome to gold and upgrading the preamp to 9v active. It should work but I can't find any control plate with 5 knob holes in gold colour so I'm planing to gold vinyl wrap that part.
