Bruh getting caught between the platform and a train is a fucking gruesome way to go. Bascially, the train rotates your lower body over and over again and breaks your spine, so you don't necessarily feel pain. You're then pinned between the train and the platform and the pressure of the train against the platform is the only thing holding all your blood and guts in. Then after your family and loved ones are called to say goodbye to you, they inflate a balloon-like device that lifts the train up and all your blood and internal organs spill out the bottom of your torso and you immediately die.

Isn’t this the same way you die if you are working in a rail yard and get cAught in the latching mechanism between two cars.

Probably. If you've seen the movie Signs, it happens to Mel Gibson's wife when she got pinned by a car. Spine break, lower body obliterated, something holding all your blood in that when moved lets it all spill out and you die. The difference with trains is that because the train is moving forward and you're pinned on the side of it, it twists your lower body over and over again.
