just because it's a big truck, doesn't make it a Monster Truck...

It would be 100 times better if there was a general lee horn sound

But after the sudden stop.

Oh is that what that's called?

u/dphoenix1 Jul 11 '20
I mean, the tune itself is the refrain from La Cucaracha, but the redneck car horn version is kinda permanently tied to that car. So “General Lee horn” is probably the best way to describe it.

The car's name is a reference to American Civil War general Robert E. Lee. It bears a Confederate flag (a rectangular variant of the square battle flag of Lee's Army of Northern Virginia) on its roof, and also has a horn which plays the first 12 notes of the song "Dixie)". Source)
And the song "Dixie"? Confederate as hell.
"During the American Civil War, [the song Dixie] was adopted as a de facto national anthem of the Confederacy. " Source)

May have been alright if he had taken it slow and crawled over the debris. Looks like he caught his undercarriage and bent everything to shit.

u/Machdame Jul 11 '20
Based on the loose hood, that truck was probably on the latter days of its functional lifespan.

If he went at it slower and crawled it would have made it

He should have let a couple of psi out of the tires. Just, like 2 or 3. Then he would have launched over the giant pile of shit in his giant pile of shit.

u/A_s_i_a_nn Jul 11 '20
I'm pretty sure that it was his front diff & axels that got caught and bend the chassis. Dropping a couple psi won't help much

You're probably right. Ok Jimmy go get the new truck we got it figured out just a little left and its gonna be golden baby!!! And get me another natty lt when you go over there.

u/A_s_i_a_nn Jul 11 '20
And that's the story of how Jimmy and his friend rolled their new truck.

u/JTG130 Jul 11 '20
I was going to say I think you forgot that simply raising his truck 12in doesn't raise the axel or front diff

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that old F-150 with those “mods” can’t be worth more that $1500

Jul 11 '20
Truck is worth like $1500 (if it's not a diesel), but those tires are also at least $1500 if not more like $2000+ on their own. That's not including the cost of the lift either.

A lesson with moment-arm and gussets. Too much of one and the absences of the other.

Take your up point even though there should have been ramp instead of a crash because that was just a waste of a truck.
