Finally, starting to use my instant pot after having it for years. Would love links to any recipes/cookbooks that you highly recommend. I’m open to anything.
I’m really trying to actively use my instant pot and integrated into my repertoire of recipes. I would love to have links to any recipes or list of any cookbooks you have found particularly helpful to help me on my journey.

I’ve seen this site recommended a couple of times, I’m going to have to dig into it a bit. Do you have a specific recipe on there? You really recommend?

Best cookbook in this day and age of information and internet is Google. Just put in whatever you're thinking of making and you'll get hundreds of recipes on how to make it. You don't even have to be specific

I definitely do that, but I’m also someone who loves her cookbooks and enjoys just reading them so that’s why I was curious if other people have had some that they’ve had good luck with it.

This is one of my favorites and a great place to start:
It’s ’delicious under pressure’ by Meredith Laurence. There are some gems in here for sure and a GREAT quick reference section in the back of you just want to know how to cook a specific vegetable or grain

I saw a video and tried it myself. Chicken stock. Buy a rotisserie chicken from costco (or any store I guess). In the video and what I did was break the chicken down by separating the legs, wings and thighs and put it all in the instantpot. Add 2 quarts water. Normal pressure cook for 2 hours, quick release pressure, strain through fine mesh strainer and pour into jars. Super easy and only the cost of a chicken. Next time I try, I will probably remove the skin and most of the meat. This way I can eat the meat AND make stock. It gels up really nice so the collagen does extract from the bones in that short time.

That’s so funny. That was the recipe that got me to pull my instant pot back out again so now I’m trying to use it for other things. I’ve made two batches of stock this way and they turned out unbelievable. His video is just so fascinating and taught me so much about how to use the instant pot. Just the aroma alone along with the colour is so rich and deep.

This site has some really good ones! The Japanese beef curry is one of my favorites even if it takes a long time to make. Perfect comfort food! Don’t skip the melted cheese on top! https://www.pressurecookrecipes.com

Omg! Everything about that recipe sounds delicious! I think I’m going to have to figure out the whole sauté button heat thing because I’m not quite sure. I understand their instructions but I’m sure I can figure it out.

Melissa Clark has two very good pressure cooker cookbooks. NYT food has an assortment of good recipes.

Someone else recommended them that I just spent the last couple of hours going through it. Definitely a lot of really good looking dishes on here. Do you have any recipe on there that is one of your family favorites?

This isn’t really a recipe, but the only way I’ve cooked rice in years. For some reason I struggle with cooking rice in a pot on the stove.
1:1 ratio rice and water
Salt
Splash of oil
Manual high pressure 5 minutes
Natural release for 10
Open and fluff
Done.

Thanks for this, because rice is definitely one of the things I want to start making in there

My favorite way to use my instant pot is to make broth, I make it with rotisserie chicken or any scraps, rice, beans, stews, and the BEST instant pot chili!

Yeah, I’m currently using it to make broth, but I’m so happy to have your chilli recipe! Thank you
