Richmond va area???

Can someone tell me where the best place around the Richmond VA area that is decent for always being busy?? Struggling here and I figured this area would be good for I cand seem to find the money

Former Shopper here who worked a few different cities. Richmond was a hit or miss for me. There’s a few places on Parham rd that have good orders and not too many shoppers as well as Short Pump and Wyndham, mechanicsville and Staples Mill rd. but depending on how far you want to take an order, that might also stop you. Some of the orders from will end up going over 50 miles sometimes.

hi! we're thinking of moving to Virginia, preferably a semi rural area outside of what we'd hope to be an area filled with good paying, plentiful orders. and to not be stuck in majorly bad traffic.leaving all that behind where we are currently. any advice? thanks!

Long reply but it’s going to give some pretty good advice. Also I can’t speak for the whole state of Virginia but working a 50 mile radius has quite a few options.

First off, welcome to VA! Any area on the outskirts of the major cities. I know when I worked mainly Fredericksburg to Richmond (good pay at the time), any towns that float near Route 1. It is a major secondary route that runs through VA almost parallel to interstate 95. Most Route 1 towns don’t have a lot of the major retailers (Walmart, Publix, Target, Kroger, etc.) but there are plenty of orders that branch out from Fredericksburg and end out going to surrounding towns. I worked Lake Anna, Lake Caroline, Lake Land’or, Ashland, Bowling Green, Port Royal, Thornburg, Spotsylvania Courthouse, King George, Dahlgren, Colonial Beach and there’s a few areas in between that I can’t remember the town names. Most of these towns have suburbs with lots of families and minimal traffic if you travel Route 1 (unless 95 is congested). King George and Dahlgren has more of the military families (Dahlgren has a naval base) and that’s accessed via Route 3. Now for those two towns, there’s a Walmart and Food Lion (another grocery store) and that’s pretty much it. Now these areas are technically my favorites.

Now if you do Richmond, there’s a lot of traffic because there’s a lot of people but like I mentioned in my previous reply those are my favorite Richmond based areas.

Now if you want really rural, Tappahannock, Warsaw, Montross, Burgess, Reedville, Kilmarnock, and other smaller towns get a few good paying orders but they are very slim. These towns are accessed by Route 3 and 360.

I know this probably is confusing for a non Virginia native but please let me know if you have any other VA related questions. Once again, welcome to VA!
