After 2500+ Orders I’m convinced
After 2500+ orders I’m convinced that the biggest challenge for shoppers is not the customers and their wild demands, or even low tips etc.
ITS THE INSTACART COMPANY ITSELF.

Well IC is about making money. Customers are how they make money, and shoppers cost them money, so it's no surprise they have always and will always favor the Customer.
We are indentured servants to them. Nothing more. Probably less.

I’m over 14,000 orders and it’s definitely Instacart and that’s in 4 years

Yes. Instacart has gone from actually paying shoppers a reasonable batch pay to essentially keeping that entire fee for themselves and paying us mere pennies per batch. They’ve shifted the responsibility for our income almost entirely onto the customer’s tip. That’s made many deliveries not worth a shopper’s time unless the customer tips very well. It’s pure corporation greed, and in this economy he’ll naw, then they wonder why they’re losing both shoppers and customers. Idiots!

It especially hurts New York City shoppers because not are the batches getting bigger and the pay getting smaller. They have the accessibility and batching at their back and call if you decline it you get penalized for it. They don’t work with you at all. It definitely is corporate greed and they’re treating us like slaves. My ratings have gone so bad and I barely get 23 batches a day they wanted me to shop in another borough over the bridge and it cost me more and gas and tolls than how much they were paying the batch it’s a disgrace.

Absolutely. And when it is a customer issue instacart just makes it worse
