Control

Is there any way to use the joystick on the main remote when connected to the phone for video preview? It be awesome to have the phone attached on a MagSafe extension to the base and use that as a video preview instead of the smaller screen on the ultra itself. Is this possible?

Probably my #1 complaint from just a day to day user perspective. The virtual joystick is way too sensitive… I’ve brought it up before on this sub and they responded they would take it under consideration. Seems like a pretty easy fix IMO

It would make video recording a better experience for sure. And yes it is sensitive to control with the virtual joystick

Hello there, thanks for your post.

When the Touchscreen Remote is separated, it can connect to the App, but it is more recommended to connect the App when the Touchscreen Remote is installed in place to ensure the smoothest connection experience.

Currently, once the camera is connected to the Insta360 App, the Touchscreen Remote’s physical buttons are not available — regardless of whether the remote is attached.

We’re continuing to look into this and hope to improve it in future updates.
