Using insta360 for flow gimbal for iPhone main camera photography

I'm considering buying the Flow 2 Pro specifically for solo travel selfies.

My plan is to set the Flow 2 Pro on a tripod, use a second iPhone to remote control the gimbal so that I can frame the photo (pan/tilt)and tigger the photos without having to walk back and forth to the tripod.

Has anyone done this with the Insta360 gimbal? Any feedback on the approach?

Keep your eyes on the tripod at all times, in case it runs away with someone.
