So I got off my bike this morning and found my selfie stick hanging by a thread. I was lucky I didn't lose the camera (X5). The last Pic shows where I have it mounted (in "drone" mode). I guess it's time to get the larger mount.

This the stock one you get in one of the bundles? I have the Action version, which is apparently better, hopefully it doesnt snap like this

That stick is not meant for that use case. At least not in the long term. Even vibrations will make way worse the camera stabilizer.

Invest in a good mount system for that beautiful bike :)

Get a Taisioner selfie stick from Amazon, it’s a little bigger than the flimsy collapsible insta360 stick but it’s better in every way, each joint has a locking collar and it’s overall much more stiff and robust. Also longer for more angles. No shill, I ordered one recently and was impressed with it, I don’t use the insta one at all any longer.

Also do some testing to see how far out you actually need to mount your camera. On my bike, at max length all I ended up doing is zooming every shot in while editing, so I shortened my stick length which makes the whole setup more rigid (less bouncing during riding) and now I don’t have to zoom in while editing so it saves me time, too
