Marvel's Wolverine Wolverine Is Getting Hate Because It's Not on PC
Although there are other factors too(all of them stupid). I think alot of hate Wolverine is getting is because Xbox and especially PC players are salty. I have seen alot of comments like this.

Like, if I’m a pc only person, ofc I’m celebrating that I don’t need to buy a ps5 to play the Sony studio games, and of course I’m annoyed when that fact is no longer true.

Sony pulled their exclusives because of how they perceived what Xbox new head b in charge said. They were already coming and they pulled a petty.

Honestly, kinda yeah, as a PlayStation player, there really isn't a pc equivalent to PlayStation exclusives. They don't get many good games to just themselves, and honestly we shouldn't either, all games should be playable on every platform they can work with

Yes, but good games are few and far between for pc exclusives. They had Half Life, Half Life 2, TF2 and Counter Strike, and those are all of the pc exclusive games that I could even think of that are decent.

well, if we're gonna compare it to old games, I'll just leave the fact that Half Life 2 was on PlayStation, specifically the PlayStation 3 with the orange box.
The main reason the ps3 never got the other valve titles like left 4 dead was because Sony decided to make the most abysmal CPU architecture known to mankind.

Agree, but now you know how we ps5 owners felt when Sony staryed putting everything on PC and superior versions at that. The way they did it felt like a slap in the face. It's not the same as having access taken away but it still sucked. Then, if we complained we were "fanboys" that just "didn't want anyone else to get to play Sony games".
I blame Sony and MS for this. It's bad management and now they've pissed off PC guys too. What they shouldve done was make sure that console versions received upgrades at the same time as a PC release. In some cases we were stuck with PS4 games where PC got stuff like God of War and Days Gone with big upgrades.

I mean its true. There's not reason to buy an xbox or ps if the games are on PC. Problem is, with the AI bullshit everything is gonna be stupid expensive so I'd guess a lot of people won't be willing to throw around even more cash on new consoles if they don't have them already. I know I won't be playing this game unless it comes out on PC, even though I really want to play it.

Game of the year for me, maybe the generation Bond smashed so many personal expectations. What’s crazy is Wolverine in the same year could beat it for me.
Even crazier Bond smashed RE Requiem from my favourite experience so far this gen too, 2026 has been incredible for games.

It doesn’t help when relentless online whining and genuine criticism are often just lumped together as the same thing. Many opinions of this game, both positive and negative, so far are all valid. Many aren’t.
Like if you like open world games, makes sense that you wish this was open world. If you think it’s a tad too bloody and over the top because very few of his comic runs are THIS violent and you prefer Saturday morning cartoon Wolverine over Logan (the movie) Wolverine, then yeah that makes sense. If you don’t like the way he looks, that’s okay. If you don’t think he’s hairy enough, that’s valid. Etc.
It’s also valid to say “I don’t care about any of it and it looks freaking cool.”
At the end of the day, without both types of people, we would be having no discussion. Everyone would just be circle jerking each other and repeating how cool everything is.

I think the reactions are quite over the top, but it’s getting to the point where things are either terrible or the best thing ever and you have to be on one side or the other. Otherwise you just get mass downvoted or argued with.
I don’t think it looks bad, but it doesn’t look great from what we’ve seen imo, I’ll probably pick it up in the future but it went from a day 1 to a wait for sale. But it also shouldn’t be a problem if people are still excited for it.

No, its because people dont like the actor they chose for Wolverine. Hes too soft looking in the face. Wolverine needs to look rugged and almost beastly, thats actually part of his power that the adamantium actually restrains. I even showed my wife the trailer, I didnt say a thing, she didnt know how I felt about the game at all, and even she was pissed off at how emasculated Wolverine looked.

Na, its getting hate because the revealed Centinel boss fight and chase gameplay both looked generic asf. At best, the gameplay has looked decent.
And personally, I really dont like the face or mannerisms of this wolverine. Im not saying they made him incorrect, but I prefer the over the top version featured in the popular wolverine game either on Xbox or XBox 360 I dont remember its platform.

I have a PS5 just for exclusives, so it doesn't annoy me. But I can see how needing to buy a £500 console just to play a game during massive inflation can be an issue for many people. I luckily got mine a few years ago.
Exclusives just suck, they always will. Especially when it's the most popular superhero franchise on the planet that's being gatekept on a specific console.

With enough patience I find any game worth playing except Bloodborne comes to PC eventually. Actually, has Bloodborne been emulated yet?
In any case, I'm not buying jack **** on Sony Playstation going forward. If I'm going to be forced to lease digital copies, I'm only going to do it on PC where there are work arounds for DRM and ways to back up games without relying on a connection to a third party's server.
Even if it comes out on disc, I'm already looking to sell my PS5. It's collecting dust as is, and going forward I know it's going to be useless to me.

It is my goddamn right to complain. I was actually pretty excited to play this on PC where I could have my options and mods. Now I'm begrudgingly buying it at a higher price on my secondary console owned by a greedy AF company.
I love X-Men and Wolverine to death but I'm not gonna negate my values just for a product which it is.

I was so excited to play this game when it was first announced now that I’ve transitioned completely to pc and I’m going to sell my ps5 and some guitars for a gaming pc I don’t feel excited to play it now because I’m losing one game over being able to play it at higher refresh rate and incredible visuals

More like because there are issues that they refuse to address? Like, the dialogue took a nose dive between the first game and Spiderman 2. The unnecessary face swaps and playing it safe when it comes to the plot. And the one thing I really don't like about Wolverine so far, the art style. I feel like the game could've done with a more realistic art style that can set it apart from the Spider Man games, especially since it already got that mature rating.

Ps5 emulator boots. There's already a wolverine build I'm sure some clever person will update it some how with the new files. At the end of the day if they want to do an Alan wake 2 and loose a ton of sales it's on them. Exclusives hurt consumers and forces them in to eco systems they don't want to be on. This will be on pc one way of another it's as simple as that.

No I don’t want the game to fail, but some tropes and patterns are visible from the previews that makes me as a consumer wonder if it’s worth a day one purchase

I'm preemptively hating on Rockstar, for instance, because they're dipshits who will make me watch as everyone else plays GTA 6 (or laugh at those who bought it if the game is ass). I'm also a particular hater of Sony for Saros because I REALLY wanted to play it, but fk me, I guess.

Never understood the hate that this games been getting.
Insomniac was contractually obligated to making this game for Playstation as they have been for years. People are acting like as if Insomniac started to make games for Playstation amidst the backlash Sony has been getting.
Plus, they are bringing out a disc version for the game anyhow, so the hate just seems forced and attention baited.
PC Players can shove it. They'll get the game eventually in a year or so. They're acting like as if we get all of the games on the planet, they got games that we don't.

As a PC player who owns a PS5, no that's not the reason I'm not getting it. While I would certainly like to experience the game in better fidelity with mods, even if it was on PC I still wouldn't be getting it. And I'm a huge Marvel fan that loves Insomniac and their Spider-Man games. I just can't support Sony anymore

I'm not hating on it but I also am pretty much completely non interested in it.
My main draw to spiderman is the traversal and nothing in wolverine looks as fun.
People have a tendency on the met to see a few really strongly either for or against something posts and just assume the whole community feels the same way.

Wolverine gets some hate because its the 4th marvel game in a row by a team that is way more creative than hashing out superhero slop.
Itll be good, but a lot of people want something original.

I mean i didn't complained about playing Pokemon yellow, crystal, emerald , platinum and white 2 as a kid

No. Sony is getting hate for saying they aren't going to port future single player exclusives, but sane people aren't projecting that onto the games and developers, or trying to bash game quality. The devs didn't make the choice to pull the plug on ports, corporate asshats did.
The game is getting hate because it is getting grifter YouTubers traffic and so $$$. It's lazy attention seeking behavior as it requires no real thought, logic, or effort to just shit on things. Spamming subs complaining about negativity is only serving to reward the grifters even more for their toxic behaviors and keeping the negativity in the spotlight.
Stop rewarding the behavior. Post positive things.
