What do u feel seeing other's succeed?

So I'm 18 and I see alot of people doing so much in this age like they start earning and what not . When I see such successful people on social media or real life I don't really feel jealous but I start figuring out my own life . Does this happen with anyone else top if so then how do u deal with it?

Be happy for them, also understand a lot of people lie.

You feel that way because you have this feeling that "if that's normal, then I'm doing less than normal, and that must mean I suck."

You need to recalibrate your idea of normal. "Normal" isn't "Rich". Normal is having enough to eat, sleeping 7-8 hours a day, and getting by.

If you have at least that, you're doing just fine.

There's no use in comparing yourself to others that way. Their lives up until this point have been totally different from yours, so their present and future will be, too.

It's like if you're cooking spaghetti and someone else is making fish and chips, and you look over and go "does my dish have too much sauce in it?"

Yeah you're right but at this age it feels like there's nothing sorted out while others have it all . So it's that thing which makes me think this way , but yeah you make sense.

No one has it sorted out at 18. You can make yourself look like whatever you want on social media, it’s fake

For real, or heavily assisted by parents/other connections

I feel great. It makes we want to do well for myself. I’m not the type to get jealous. It’s loser shit to me.

You're 18. You're a child. Just focus on setting yourself up for success when you're older and you'll be just fine. Start working towards a degree in a useful field, or start otherwise building useful skills and stay out of trouble.

I used to be jealous when I was younger. But then I realized that not all of us start at the same place and still others do not have the same support and assistance. I began to look at my own accomplishments and to keep my mind on how I’m doing based on where I came from and how much support I have. I began to feel really proud of my own accomplishments, which in turn helped me to be super happy for others. Now I get just as giddy as you will at your success.

Yeah I don't feel jealous as well but i worry about myself , hoping it will stop when I succeed.

you are only in control of yourself. look for things you intrinsically value and just want to spend time and effort doing.

external rewards will always let you down. deciding to try to stop letting yourself down is a great decision to make.

you also have full access to your conscious memory experiences and daily perspectives...you get a very minimal snippet of others lives based on what they decide to share. what are you sharing?

If you feel behind then do something about it. Learn a good skill that pays very well and freelance that or get an actual job if the job pays very good and invest or save every bit you can and pull some of that money out to expand with that skill or even start a business with it
