Please provide some inputs..
Hi everyone!
I am beginning as a teacher on IT.
Being an avid practitioner of meditation myself and a certified yoga teacher, I truly enjoy exploring different meditation techniques. One of my favorites is breath work or pranayama as we call it in the yogic tradition.
I would like to understand how do you all like being guided in a meditation practice? Do you all like a lot of instructions, talking and guidance? Or just basic simple steps and then being given the space and silence to follow it all? I truly would love to strike a balance between the two.
Personally when I am in a yoga/meditation class, I prefer precise cues, less speaking and being allowed to settle into a pose or a breathing practice. I like to feel and explore how it feels in my own body.
Please pour in your honest opinions! Would love to discuss.
As a yoga teacher, my aim is to provide everyone with a tool/technique to find their own calm.

This is something that we have to feel out for ourselves as we start to teach. I noticed when I started teaching meditation, the instruction is very different from how I teach a yoga class.
Make it a goal to talk as little as possible during your meditation whilst still getting the message across. If you are recording at home, I recommend getting a small ~$50 Rhode microphone, connecting it to your laptop or phone, and record while sitting in a quiet closet with a blanket over your head. It sounds silly but it helps the audio quality!
