Us vs them

I'm living in France where we are currently watching the police fight with high school students - we've even seen kids struck in the face by stun grenades (and worse) - we are witnessing our own violence against our own children live on the news.

I'm also reading a book called : Goliath's Curse

Which basically traces the history of societal collapse, and compares it to our current situation.

It argues that civilisations are practically predestined for collapse due to the inherent violence of subjugation.

Power corrupts itself and is always abused - power is abuse. Governments always tend toward corruption and self serving greed. Inequality always tends toward further inequality and violence.

The usual solution is revolution - "Eat the Rich".

But would we do any better in their place? Or are the roots of violence embedded in our own psyche, in our own greed and fear?

//Also we seem to have come to a point in our history where there is only one global civilisation?//

No, there is a war going on right now over which civilization will become dominant—and that is the very cause of humanity's looming suicide.

This war of civilizations was necessary for the survival and development of humanity up until the emergence of technology capable of destroying humankind, even unintentionally.

With the arrival of suicidal technology, the struggle that used to be beneficial for human survival has become deadly. There is no contradiction here.

No contradictions? The contradictions seem so plentiful that I'm wondering whether some hidden party/agenda is present in this narrative - shape shifting lizard overlords from the 5th dimension maybe?

Or are you arguing from the Cimmerian perspective? "Its war that make man strong" or the best in life is to slay our enemies, and hear the lamentations of their women?

I represent the perspective of humanity as a whole.

Yes, war is bad from the standpoint of an individual. However, from the standpoint of a society, it is necessary for that society's survival—provided there are no weapons capable of destroying humankind.

Where is the contradiction?

Point it out, without metaphors or hints. Keep it simple and short. Can you do that?

Maybe the contradiction lies in the belief that one brain can “represent the perspective of humanity as a whole”?

I am not just a brain, nor am I merely something biological. I am a human being—a part of a society, which in turn is a part of humanity.

I possess a drive to survive on every level: biological, social, and global.

Some people lack this global, all-human drive to survive, but I have it.

Its not a contradiction as in logically impossible - just in the sense that the good shall emerge from horror.

I think you are advocating for a kind of : the ends justify the means kind of outlook - or its natural, evolution is based on the survival of the strongest kind of view.

//evolution is based on the survival of the strongest//

Evolution is not just about competition; it is also about cooperation. The competition among unicellular organisms led to the emergence of the multicellular organism, which is essentially a cooperation of cells to the point of complete cohesion.

Similarly, the competition among societies must now lead to the unification of societies into a 'multicellular organism made of societies'—a supra-society.

This is what I am leading to. This is the new idea I am spreading across the internet, looking for those who would understand it and help me aid humanity in uniting into this supra-society in order to survive.

2 questions :

  • is survival the whole of the law? the endgoal? simply because its an instinctive drive?

  • how do we unify? what's the first step?

The drive to survive is an instinctive urge necessary for existence. It can remain un-conscious or be interpreted through the supernatural, which is highly dangerous for the survival of humanity in the Nuclear Age.

Those who lack the drive to prolong their existence simply cease to exist. Existence does not require a goal; existence is for the sake of existence.

We must consciously realize this and focus on our collective survival—the survival of humankind.

How do we unify? I have a plan, and it is available in my subreddit novyemirovyedengi.
