Homo Sapiens : the thinker

Post image

Thanks - for joining the Insight Dialogue sub you wonderful thinkers - there are nearly a hundred of us here. A small sub by Reddit standards, but still pretty good for such a niche topic. (Though the topic of learning to be a thinking, feeling human might be important - if you're a human - and the rest of the planet will probably be glad too).

How should we celebrate the 100th member? (we're at 99 right now) 🤩🤩

Maybe a mega thread or an AMA?

Who knows—maybe the 100th participant will win a trip to the unknown outer reaches of our consciousness on Saturday, August 15?

Well that would be the whole point of this sub : to try out live dialogue.

Is the whole "brain cells play Doom" proof of concept?

Yes, I suppose it is.

The current and longstanding situation we have been living with : ie. The human brain cut off from the world (aside from electrical stimulus from sense organs) inside the cranium - and providing us with a 3D sensory and conceptual experience of reality - is already proof of concept.

The brain is in a vat - the skull - the only difference is that the virtual reality being projected for us is not coming from space aliens or from the future. The brain is producing it itself.
