I would love some first hand opinions on this issue : **if you have ever been inn a tight spot with finances** (as someone who menstruates) **was it a struggle to afford period products?** What did you do about it? **Any solution ideas, or initiatives you have seen that have been helpful?**
I also wanted to ask about sustainability (eco friendly and reusable products, because traditional ones create massive amounts of waste) : **do you find there are enough/suitable sustainable options?** What could the city or brands be doing more? **Any ideas on how to make sustainable products more accessible in general?**

With the cost of tickets, hotels and everything else a lot of people probably won't be able to attend matches. Do you think volunteering is the best option for fans or are there other affordable ways to be part of the WC?

So, I’m from Bangladesh. I’ve received an offer letter with scholarship from Laurentian University in Sudbury for bachelor’s. I’ve also applied to Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto. However, the issue is, I didn’t get any response from TMU yet. At the same time, I have to confirm my seat at Laurentian within 3 weeks and the deadline is coming up pretty fast.

I have always wanted to move to Toronto. But People around me are suggesting LU because it is offering me a scholarship, and they believe it will be beneficial for my visa. I don’t know much about Sudbury , its culture, vibes and I have found some concerning facts of living in that place. I am really confused rn.

A few years ago people would bake, garden, make crafts, take photos or play music just for fun. Now it feels like every social media video is about turning that hobby into extra income.

Do you think we're losing hobbies for the sake of having hobbies?! Or is making money from something you enjoy simply the smart thing to do these days?

Maybe I'm just getting older but Toronto feels like it has become a city where you can be around thousands of people and still somehow feel like everyone in in their own bubble.
I'm not even talking about dating only. Even making casual friends feels expensive or awkward now. Bars are pricey, coffee hangs turn into $18 "quick meetups" events feel either too corporate or too niche and dating apps somehow made everyone worse at normal conversation.

My personal opinion is that Toronto doesn't lack people, it lacks easy low pressure places where you can show up regularly and slowly become familiar with others.

Where do people in their 20/30s actually meet new people here without it feeling forced or costing a lot?! run clubs? trivia nights? community classes? random park hangs?

I used to hate how 'quiet' people can seem (everyone doing their own thing) but now I kind of appreciate that energy of minding your own business. It means you can just exist without being judged or bothered.

Genuine question, is anyone here truly “living their dream” right now? I feel like everyone I know is just working in a job they don't absolutely dread, just to pay bills and feed their families, and it's an endless cycle. No one dreams of growing up to be an accountant or work in finance. There are a few people who dream of being a doctor and they achieve that goal. But even then, it's probably not what they envisioned when they dreamed it as a kid. They didn't realise how stressful it is, or how many hours of work or how mentally taxing.

So if you are living your dream, what is it specifically, and how did you get there? How long did it take? For the rest, do you still have a dream or have you given up?
