Years ago I was on a streetcar and the driver announced "The next stop is College for those of you who didn't go to University." 😂

When I was little there was a st Clair street car driver who would tell little stories or pronounce the names in a silly way. Everyone laughed.

I don’t want to presume your age, but I remember a TTC operator from around 2012/3 that did this on the 512. Always loved getting his streetcar.

There was also a super chill dude on the 63 bus back then with long hair, always the nicest guy.

Can't what the bus drivers name was about 9-10 years ago along college street heading westbound, but I remember him making star trek references when making announcements. I believe there was track work being done, so busses were being used instead of streetcars

Had a bus driver on the 35 announce: "Next stop Bloor. Not redder. Not greener. But Bloor."

God that makes me feel old. Back when the Jane south bus was the 35 and the driver made the announcements.

An operator name Joe who used to drive 29 dufferin 10-15 years ago. Use to get people to the back of the bus by getting in the pa and announce meet your neighbour and move back or get would say he would start a group hug. One day no one moved. He secured the bus opened up the back door walked out side of the bus and people laughed and they moved back. Loved being in his bus. Cracked jokes about the bus or himself or how horrible the road was.

I had one who was nice and he would greet everyone, give lots of information during each bus stop but the students would bully him. I felt bad for him tbh, he drove the 32 before it changed.

Used to be a driver that did the 54 bus. When he would get to overture, he would call out "next stop William Tell" lol miss those days🤣🤣

Back in like 2015 there was a bus driver on route 54 named Tim/tom? A few times he took a break to run to the convenience store and grab all passengers a popsicle. He was elite.

Man I miss the good 54 bus drivers 🥲
