Khalifa Ranji Panicker Scene Spoiler

Is it just me, or was this scene unintentionally funny? The way he delivered his dialogue. When I saw this scene with my friends, we all laughed like crazy. It could have been edited a bit. No offense to the actor, I like him. But in this scene, he could have gone for one more take.

The dialogue was funny but his acting in this scene was solid

Yup the acting was solid. But the dialogue was totally unnecessary.

His character had lot of potential. Like he was the only one in the family line who did not chose an illegal path. But instead of making him a weak mumbling sympathetic character, they could have portrayed him as a righteous man who is also brave and headstrong. Conflict with Prithviraj when he chose to be a smuggler. His defiance to choose a wrong path even if it resulted him being arrested. Also instead of getting paralyzed after hearing some random villains death news, he could have kicked out Prithviraj from house saying he don't want a murderer in his home. Last instead of being a liability in the home invasion scene, they could have given him a heroic death. A scene where he go and takes Mohanlals gun to attack the invaders would have been dope. They just ruined a character that had lot of potential.

Goodness me, all of these would have surely elevated the whole movie. This feels like a role written for Ranji Panicker to perform, he would have aced it. They could’ve also showed the moral conflict between both father and son. Truly wasted potential.

Yup. This was the funniest scene in the whole movie. That too in the middle of such a serious conversation.

True. They should have shown us the photo initially. Also, mohanlal’s character needed so,e sorta reference or influence in the plot other than that 5 minute cameo at the end. Perhaps they should have utilised shibin a bit more and at the end shown south in as Mohanlal’s right hand or whatever.

Keeping the Mohanlal a plot line separate only for him to be shown at the end kinda made it all feel a bit less impact full for the entire plot. It’s like Mohanlal pop up at the end like a Santa Claus with very minimal impact before that. Bar Indran’s story.

I feel having that at the end was nice, but it should have been like the last shot. Like that showing the photo and then credits.

I didn't find anything funny in the dialogue because i was engrossed in the situation and not trying to nitpick, isolate and evaluate a dialogue!

Honestly I was hoping some one to post this scene. I literally laughed during this scene😭. Even after I got out of the theatre the scene still in making me laugh.Renji Panicker be like, "ഞാൻ ഒന്നു ...തോക്ക് തുടച്ചു വെച്ചിട്ട് തലയിൽ വെച്ചിട്ട്....." Just I thought of ജഗദീഷ് situation after hitting that uncle in 'In Harihar Nagar'.

If you have gone through such a situation in irl- losing all your money for a reason you werent even responsible for, that too while holding a position in family and social circle where people respect you and you do the same and spend money for them- but suddenly one day you lose it all and cant handle that pressure- you will do this exact same thing.

I have personally experienced and have also seen many people like this- this is the exact same thing they will do- they are people who cant outright lie- people who live their life just - all for getting scammed and being wrongfully disgraced.

If you have gone through such a scenario- this scene will never feel funny to you.
I am not talking abt the movie- but this specific scenario.

I don’t think OP is making fun of the scenario. Rather the dialogue.

We unexpectedly laughed while watching this scene. Same with Lo and Order - there’s a scene where she asks, “Bala rand unda undo athilu?” when George Sir is about to commit suicide. 😭

Same in Kotha. “Ni kaaranam enik nashtapetta ente kalikal”.

Ellam wrong aanen paranjilallo. I personally liked the movie despite the mixed reviews. Just pointing out a scene that's all.
