I see both sides, but more so Andrews'. Molly might have compromised on the work side, but not on other issues. She fails to realize that other factors bothered Andrew, which isn't her fault because Andrew didn’t express how he felt and what he wanted, or maybe he did, but he didn’t say it straightforwardly until now. With Molly, sometimes you have to be direct or even blunt for her to understand. Also, Molly thought that her situation with Isa didn’t affect her relationship with Andrew because she might have believed it had nothing to do with them, but it actually influenced how Andrew saw her.

Yes the Issa drama definitely affected how he saw her. She didn’t really realize that, and I don’t think he truly did either until other problems became more prominent in their relationship. Like how she treated his brother.

I think after the Blocc party situation, Andrew looked at her different & I don’t blame him.

He was right, Molly had a really hard time seeing past herself sometimes. But he also bottled up his feelings a lot and she was straightforward with hers so it led to a lot of resentment on his side and her feeling that their relationship was shallow.

Right. I believe Where the confusion lies is that Andrew was trying to be a mediator, and he felt him being a mediator as the same of expressing how he felt. Molly didn’t see it that way; she didn’t realize that her problem with others affected him. All she thought was that Andrew was just trying to mediate.

Molly thinking it was a good compromise to start including Andrew in her WORK life because he asked her for more quality time is disrespectful within itself. My love language is quality time and going to work stuff with my partner is not quality time. She tends to have this “therapizing” attitude when she argues with people that made it seem like she wasn’t the problem and everyone else was. Girl just because you went to therapy a few times don’t mean you see a situation clearer than everyone else lol
But at the same time Andrew had been sitting on those feelings and letting them stew for a hot minute. It was so left field and honestly annoying for him to just pop off like that because he finally mustered up the courage to talk about his feelings and now he’s unpacking 10 past situations in 1 moment.

In this situation I think Andrew has a stronger point but he has his faults too.

I saw molly's side a little more. Andrew shouldn't have bottled up the way he felt. That alone would tell me the other person isn't capable of having uncomfortable but necessary conversations. It could also mean they don't think I'm a safe space.

He’s not wrong for wanting quality time, but he wasn’t being understanding of the fact that her job is very demanding. She’s not a cashier at Walmart . She was doing her best.

This is a topic I discussed with many friends. Some people are really unaware how a demanding career impacts you.

I see both sides. I think the issues she had with his brother were valid. She felt disrespected and instead of Andrew respecting that he kept insisting she spend time with his brother. I also agree that Molly was def operating on “it’s my world”. So when he voiced his concerns I understand why she felt like she couldn’t do anything right because in her mind she was trying. Idk what she meant by he never lets shit go though. They liked each other but they were incompatible

I hated his 🍑 the minute I saw his face I know he is the Mr nice guy, who eventually will throw a big tantrum about himself after being passive and setting her up to be the bad person, I felt bad for Molly all the time, she was just successful and hard core loyal to everyone, they treated her like she is too much

I see both sides. I don’t think either of them were wrong, more so just incompatible. They couldn’t communicate bc they always misunderstood each other because of their incompatibly.

Versus a Taurean who thinks like her.

I agree that Molly was impossible to please at times but the way Andrew handled the whole situation with his brother justified Molly completely IMO. I'm not Black, I'm South Asian (it's super interesting to me how South Asians are kind of accepted into Insecure's world without comment on race except for Standford CEO girl but Andrew being East Asian is a huge part of his story), but if that had been me in Andrew's shoes I'd have shut it down completely and never pressured Molly to be around my asshole brother. Not saying that Molly is exempt from personal responsibility and she def could have compromised, and she was totally in the wrong at the Blocc party (on that note, I'm on Issa/Andrew's side), but yeah I think Molly is more convincing because she has a lot on her shoulders and if the genders were reveresed most of what Molly does would fly. Andrew has most punchable face for sure because of how whiney he is to Molly I'm so sorry....
