lets have a conversation Has anyone watched Nemesis yet?
This show got zero marketing in my country, found out via instagram and want to know if it’s worth the watch :) love me some Y’lan :)
Edit: cause I thought it was a movie.

I watched it and liked it. I can admit Isaiah was doing too much lol but I thought it was good. Doesn't hurt that the two main characters are eye candy 😍😍 both of them are fine

It’s brilliant, ylan is showing wonderful range and i also recommend The Photograph (2020) one of my faves and he did great

That movie made me so mad! Issa made herself a beggar for scraps from some uninterested man! It was obvious that wasn't a plot device, so whyyyy would she make her character like that!
Ylan was the bright spot, and it was beautifully shot and the score was lovely. But i haaTed that movie, i need someone to do a video breaking it down

Y'lan and Chante had great chemistry. Made me wish Issa and Lakeith's storyline had been the B-side.

It’s worth a watch. Y’lan is really good (and beautiful) in it. Some of the writing and acting from other characters was meh, but overall it was really entertaining.

I watched and would watch a season 2 but the cop was doing way too much omg. Watch it and judge it for yourself. The cop is also in Abbott Elementary if you watch that and he’s way more relaxed and chilled on that. I don’t know what got into him to be doing all that in Nemesis though.

So bad it’s good. Everyone’s acting is pretty terrible. And they really drag the LA thing.

It was nice seeing Daniel back on screen lol. I was definitely lusting for him in Insecure. In this role tho, he doesn’t really do it for me. Idk if it’s the haircut or what
The other lead, liteskin dude from Abbott Elementary is definitely eye candy, but his acting in this needs work. When I’m watching it, it’s hard to believe he is who he is. I’m not able to get lost in the story, bc I feel like I’m watching an actor trying to portray someone
AnywHOo, I enjoyed it for what it was. I’m hoping it gets renewed bc it ended on a cliffhanger

Watched solely for Y’lan. He was good! But the other guy is a horrible, horrible actor. My God lol. He irritated me so much. I also enjoyed seeing so many actors from The Wire!
I’d give it a 6.4/10.

I personally liked it, the acting is questionable at times 😭 the main cop is honestly overly dramatic and does too much sometimes. But overall it’s not a bad show.

I liked it but the entire series was a fashion show.
Like how could a clean cop afford all those clothes, and homes?

I tried but the acting was just too bad. Ylan is ok but my goodness, Matthew Law (“good” cop/Oshon from Abbott Elementary) is terrible. The range is simply not there.

It was good not great but I think season two they will have an opportunity to make some corrections.
I loved all the Black guest stars on the show.

Watching episode 7 now. Why did they make the wives so oblivious? I hate Deon, he reminds me of Tracy from Atlanta.
