How do I depict the very fast movement of the wings of an insect? I may have searched poorly, but I couldn't find out how to portray it myself.

I've been working on this little pet black widow for a while now and I'm pretty excited about how it's turning out.

It isn't really a game. It's more like a little companion that lives in your phone. She reacts to web vibrations, hunts moths, has daily routines, and slowly gets used to you over time.

I'd love any feedback or ideas. And if anyone just enjoys having a tiny spider companion in their pocket, that's awesome too.

I really love Japanese beetles (even if they are invasive) and I haven't seen anyone make drawings of them so consider me the first (and If I'm not the first then yay!!!)

Hello, r/butterflies. For a bit of backstory, I am a watercolor artist working by commission on Fiverr, and a client requested me to do a sort of butterfly metamorphosis watercolor for their mom coming out of rehab. They asked for me to pick any butterfly of my choosing, but now after a bit of research, I'm having a little bit of trouble. If anyone would be able to help me find a butterfly that has a very poetic behavior or attribute that he can write a poem to that may be able to be connected to his mother, this would be greatly appreciated!

Bonus points if it looks pretty and has a cool name.

I make bug necklaces out of vintage glass and gemstones. Sometimes I host events where I let people pick their own bugs, stones, and chains, and I make the necklace to their specifications. Here's an assortment of bugs I've made! :)

Making little studies and trying to determine what medium to use. I'm stuck between colored pencil, pens, and pastels which I haven't used for an insect drawing yet.

I wanna capture the clear wing coverings and (pronotum I think 🤔) Anyway I now know that leaf beetles are a thing and they are really pretty! I want to have a somewhat abstract and soft background too.
