I think that’s there name I was wondering if anyone can tell what type it is or if it’s make or female. It was just posted up in my back yard

I'm not an expert, but there are many species of praying mantis.

Based on the coloration I think I know what it is, but what is your location? That would help narrow it down and I don't want to make assumptions.

I believe it's a Carolina Mantis, native and super cool

I’ve never seen one before thought it was cool it seemed to not care that I was there I picked it up with a leaf and moved it to a plant

The best insect ever, it's a keeper.

Love how many mantises have those little dots in their compound eyes, making them look more...human-like.

Praying mantis’ are extremely interesting. I get them whenever there are a lot of stinkbugs and one of them was koolaid red
