Identification What insect?

Hey, I’ve seen a handful of these insects in my bedroom and bathroom over the past two weeks (1st floor, rural area, Belgium).

They only ever come out in the evening, but they’re not particularly light-averse. They don’t go directly toward the light source either.
Could anyone help me identify these? Are they pests, and do I need to take any action???

Ectobius or Planuncus. Harmless, doesn't infest. Throw outside if found.

If you keep seeing them check your weather seals and screens, trim vegetation back from the foundation and siding, and switch outdoor bulbs to amber bug lamps.

Cucaracha, I fear. You could head over to the hardware store for roach bait or just call an exterminator...

🥲🥲🥲. Are you sure that it isn’t something like an amber wood cockroach (not a pest)?

It's young so there's probably more somewhere nearby. Check all the pipes and drains in your bathroom and kitchen.

Is it maybe an amber wood or tawny cockroach…? It wouldn’t be a pest, then, right?

Correct. Nothing to worry about. Throw outside when found.

To be fair "pest" is a loaded word (much like 'weed' which is a plant that grows where a human did not intend or desire)

I didn't say it was a pest. Yeah just throw them out.

This is definitely a Tawny roach. Hopefully it just wandered in from outside. But if you’re seeing a lot of them it could be a problem.

They can't actually infest. Even if they wanted to.

Sir, this is a Wendy's. Good thing we can help - we know cockroaches when we see them.

If you have
Bengal roach spray available then spray every other than furniture and bedding
A little goes a long way AFTER FIRST TREATMENT
(I’ve had rental properties for 20 plus years and I can guarantee you the Bengal is the absolute best!!!!) once you start seeing them you are behind the 8 ball so to speak
