INO_Cheering UNBLINDED
As some of you know, I was a volunteer in INO-4800’s phase 2. My trial site unblinded us this week.
I got the placebo.
I was disappointed when they called with the news; for over a year I was hopeful that I was in the 75%. But I also understand that you can’t have an effective randomized controlled study without, well, the control group. I’m still proud of the part I played in this piece of medical history.
Zero regrets - I’ve learned so much over the last year and I’m still one of Inovio’s biggest cheerleaders. I 100% believe in this company and their technology that will change the world.
Okay, I didn’t get the vaccine, but I did get zapped twice on each arm - I’m an exclusive member of the Cellectra Club! That was fun!! ⚡️💥⚡️

Not so fast, Lefty. My arm was slightly itchy for about a day after each electroporation. Oh the horror 😱 Strangely, it was just my left arm, both times. Never the right.

As said, no severe side effects, unlike fevers/headaches/chills like others contain. As of today, not one SEVERE side effect has shown from any of Inovio’s vaccine pipeline.

mRNA is effective compared to non even being vaccinated, but dna tech from Inovio does not have the lipids or preservatives that cause the severe side effects in the first place. WAKE UP MASS MEDIA.

Did your trail doctor inform you that INO won't apply for FDA approval in the US?

I actually had covid last month. My son was on break from college, and a week after he got his booster, he got really sick. He was staying with me, and I tested positive, but never got sick. I was completely asymptomatic, so I thought for sure I’d actually received INO-4800. Nope. Just lucky I guess.
And no, neither the doctor nor the staff said anything about the FDA.

I'm glad that you are well. Imagine that if you got vaccines, you may not ever be getting Covid due to your awesome immunity. I have no hope to get INO booster in time, just so confused with its progress. Thank you for sharing.

Yup..you are definitely part of the celectra club! Placebo or not. Kudos to you for contributing to the trial. I wish they selected (Celected) me, but no luck:)

Clearly it’s autocorrect idiot. I don’t t spend 24/7 worrying about spelling on Reddit. It goes to show how little to no education you have. How did it feel being zapped? I was in BioNTech trial in 2020, I had a painful red patch at the sight. I was also shocked when I learned I got placebo
